2011 Ford mustang VS 2010 Camaro
With the all new Chevrolet Camaro finally making it to production earlier this year, the Mustang was given a real challenger. The Camaro returned after a long seven year break coming back with retro looks and powerful engines. Both the Camaro's V6 and V8 engines trumped the Mustang's engines in horsepower and torque by a fairly large margin but all that is about to change. The 2011 Mustang adds a new 3.7L V6 and 5.0L V8 that improve power to the Camaro's levels while also providing better fuel economy.
The Mustang was redesigned in 2010 with the same retro styling of its predecessor but with updated sheet metal. The front end is more aggressive, sleeker, and tauter. The headlamps and turn indicators are now a one piece unit inspired by the 1970 Ford Mustang. The GT gets fog lights placed in the upper grille similar to the 1967-1968 Mustangs while the V6 puts the fog lights on the lower fascia. For 2011, not much of the exterior will be updated but not much needs to be as the Mustang already looks stunning.
The Camaro finally made it to production for the 2010 model year bringing retro styling like the Mustang. The new Camaro returns with styling cues from the very first generation and looks menacing. The "V" design nose is superbly aggressive and reminiscent of the 1967-1969 Camaros. The SS gets an added air intake in the upper front fascia along with a larger air intake below. A design cue from the Chevrolet Corvette was actually used in the roof with a sculpted twin cockpit design
